Pony Club Progress
All of our riders are improving by "leaps and bounds!"
Mariah and Fonzie are beginning to jump low fences, and Mariah is learning her diagonals. She gets them most of the time! Her control of Fonzie has improved so much it is amazing. He doesn't even try any of his favorite tricks with her anymore because he knows he can't get away with them.
Hayley has her diagonals DOWN PAT. She never misses (when she remembers to check them!) She had a great lesson on Willy Tuesday. Her cantering is much improved, and she managed to get him on to a right lead. Willy NEVER takes his right lead! She rode Diego on Saturday and jumped her first "big" jump. She also completely tacked up without any help. Diego trusts her enough now to let her bridle him.
Kierna rode Beauty Tuesday, and also managed to get her onto her bad right lead. It is near impossible to get her to take her right lead, but Kierna persisted and got it on the second try! Great job. She also got her to slow down her canter a lot.
Bethany rode Cheyenne last Wednesday, and she did really well. The mare just keeps getting better and better. Then she rode Tequila and jumped her over both the flower box and the brush box. The brushbox is only 2' 3", but Tequila cleared it at almost 4'!! Bethany's eyes were big as saucers, and her grin was ear to ear! Then on Tuesday she rode JUNIOR! He tested her to see if he really had to behave (he did). She even jumped him over a little crosspole.
Great job, all of you. You make me very proud.
